There are some people whose magic the world doesn’t know what to do with, whose spirit sets them apart and they seem to be setup from the get-go for a life of struggle, colored sparks swimming against a current of gray matter. John Burden was one such magical creature, irreconcilable with this reality, star-strings tangled in his hair, who suffered malnourishment at the hand of a world ill-equipped to hold him.
